Whoohoo! I found my long lost favourite dessert... jumping in joy, ready to drool... It was once a popular snack. I fall in love with it when I was young, about 5 years old. There's a stall in Yaohan selling Tayaki so it's a must buy for me each time I drop by. However Japanese stalls were replaced with local delicacies stalls after a renovation... totally disappointed!

TAIYAKI, a fish-shaped cake comes in different filling like red bean, custard, chocolate and cheese... You must take a bite once it's handed over the counter, while it's steamy hot! Yummy... crispy crust, then immediately, a rich bounty of sweet filling oozes out just like volcano eruptions...

This is how Taiyaki is made...

I can see it from far so I increase my speed from 3 to more than 10mph as if I’m running for my life, forgeting that I'm not wearing adequate running shoes and the damage that it cause to my legs and knees...

Oh no! the door is closing… I have to reach for the green button hoping that it’ll work and it does! However the door re-closes when I’m stepping in, within a split second!!! Obviously there’s a “Mr. Bad Guy” who is so inconsiderate to press on the door close button and the door just ram on me so hard with no mercy! Ouchhh!!! What a dumba$$...

I was sandwiched by the doors until I lose my balance and almost fell on my knee. Luckily there’s a gentleman that hold me on my elbow and stop me from falling. There’s nothing I can do but to pretend nothing has happened even though I can see many are giggling. What an embarrassing moment to start the day with…

I left the office at 6.45p.m., not much work today. As usual, train delayed every Friday evening... only two trains came within an hour ++ instead of the normal schedule of a train every 15 minutes. Obviously the platform was so packed and when a train finally arrives, it was total madness!! Imagine a herd of buffalos being let go into a field. Just like a survival battle... I only have the chance to board the third train, at 8.15p.m.

Just about 100m it moves forward, the train stops at the intersection between Mid Valley and KL Sentral... I thought it was a usual halt, but 20 minutes later there was an annoucement "Dear commuters, the train stopped to wait for signal to proceed"

Another 15 minutes later... "Dear commuters, the system at KL Sentral was down and hasn't been fixed at this time. Apologies for the delay"

We're trapped in the train for 2 hours and I was so hungry and exhausted... and there's no chocolate in my bag :(

Most of the commuters became restless and impatient. Some of them went to the controller's cabin, getting them to open the door so that at least we could walk to the nearest station... but of course, they couldn't simply open the door without getting permission. It's a crossing point of many tracks and they have to make sure that there's no other train will come and ram us!

After much discussion with the HQ, assured that it's safe for the commuters to walk on the track, they finally opened a door but unfortunately, it was a rainy day and the point where we stopped at were among bushes and river. Many slipped and fell. Finally, they decided to reverse back to Midvalley at 10.30p.m. It was the last train for the day. Services were interrupted at all stations.

I reached home at 11.20p.m. and my dinner has became my supper...

Overdue post again... We had a small office CNY Party on Valentine's Day.

CNY is never complete without Yee Sang, a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor! All of us gather around the table and, on cue, proceed to toss the shredded ingredients into the air with chopsticks while saying auspicious wishes out loud to mark the start of a prosperous new year.
