On one hand, clients are customers and, therefore, ALWAYS right and always entitled to what they want. On the other hand, clients are people with problems they cannot solve, sometimes of their own making, and they may not be aware of everything that needs to be done. However, they are NEVER wrong because there is no higher criterion for correctness. The client has the right to demand more options, or even flatly disregard your advice, suggestions, alternatives or solutions.

Most of the people and companies who call themselves consultants are flattering themselves. I would use a more descriptive term -- a robotic slave with a bright smile. Besides slavishly responds to the demands of the client, we are expected to function 24 hours a day to untie all knots. The company will side with petulant, unreasonable, angry, demanding client instead of with its loyal employee. So why would I name this post as the love-hate relationship?

Why we hate them? Because they're really, really PICKY! And very often they're getting on my nerves! Then why should we love them? The answer is simple. Without them, your company will earn nothing and you'll be JOBLESS! And the most important is that, don't forget, ALL of us are customers too!

So I "Google" for the meaning of a "blog" -- abbreviated word for weblog, is a web-based journal in which people can publish their thoughts and opinions on the Internet.

Here's the rule: Avoid posting anything on your blog that might be personal to other people if just anyone can read your blog. Hence, my mindset is -- I won't treat it as an e-diary. My blog will serve as my "virtual memory".

It's my blog so I'll decide what to write instead of writing what they would like to read. I won't change my blog voice just to increase traffic especially when I'm not blogging for money. For example, if you don't like a particular song, will you ask the composer to re-write the song? That's ridiculous!

I don't wear perfume so I won't be able to tell what's the difference between eau de toilette and parfum. This newspaper article "Perfumes ABC" helps me understand more.

It is a Chinese tradition to eat 汤圆 (Glutinous Rice Ball) to welcome the Winter Season. It signifies the end of a good harvest and the beginning of the resting period because it is too cold for the farmers to tend the fields.

When I was a kid, I used to help my mum to prepare 汤圆 the night before the actual day. She'll add water gradually to the glutinous rice flour to form a soft pliable dough. Then adding a few drops of food colourant to make it more presentable. Me, myself will always make a combination of white and pink tiny 汤圆, which looks like marble balls. We'll keep it refrigerated till the next morning.

The next day mum will heat a pot of water, melt in sugar, add pandan leaves and then drop the 汤圆 into the syrup until they float to the top and it's ready to serve.

But now, we can have 汤圆 anytime we want as we have ready-made glutinous rice balls with fillings available at supermarkets, about RM2.99 per packet. We can just heat a packet of soya drink, add the ready-made 汤圆 in and enjoy!

Few days ago I bought a book from MPH titled "It's Always Too Soon to Quit" by Lewis R. Timberlake. When we mentioned the word [quit], automatically we will think of resigning from our job--that's my colleague's reaction when we met in the lift. Probably it's because most of us are not getting much satisfaction from our job so that's the first thing that come to our mind but the word [quit] in this book meant "never give up".

At some point in our lives, we all come to a time of severe testing. Why do some people despair and quit, while others refuse to let tough times defeat them? This book is downright inspiring with pages of true life examples. You'll discover the dynamics of precailing over failure.

You wouldn't be the person you are today without all the experiences (including the trials) you've encountered along life's path--we accomplish nothing worthwhile unless we get hurt first. Just as how a priceless pearl was formed, how steel gains its strengths and coal turns into diamonds. So people can, and do become stronger through the testings and trials of life.

I don't really celebrate Christmas... for the past few years I'll join my schoolmates to their church, watch stage play, carolling, play games, and not to be forgotten, exchanging gifts!

The mall has been very crowded since last week--packed with Christmas shoppers, photo snappers, holiday kids and shopaholics! It's the YES again and it's the final sale for year 2007!

We'll be having a Christmas party on the 24th so yesterday I went to browse for a gift, walking from ground floor up till 2nd floor and my mind is still so blank. Should I buy something with "Christmas feel" or something usable?

Then something catches my eyes... it's a *Triangel doll* which was made popular by TVB Series 'Triumph in the skies' so I bought it for myself :p



Today, I decided to become one of the Christmas decorations photo snappers too! I spotted an angel and it costs about RM200 ...



I just realised that I'm so attracted to dolls suddenly... I spotted a tiny "pixie?" (not sure what it's called) sitting on top of an orange color Christmas decoration...

"... something done or granted out of goodwill, rather than for remuneration"

This is an ideal situation, but somehow, one will show their "true colors" when what they expect turn sour...

I'll describe this friend as being helpful and kind... we have some sort like a "mutual agreement", as a kind of appreciation/returning his favor I supposed...

Somehow, when the time comes, it doesn't really happen as projected and of course, I failed to "return" his favor ... out of sudden, he turns from an "angel" to a "devil"... He becomes so nasty and mean, repeatedly telling me how he has helped me and even accuse me for being a "Queen of Excuses" and "heartless"... He regrets for helping me!!!

I do not wish to explain further as he already has that kind of "mindset" so there's no point telling him more when he thinks that all my "truth and facts" are just "lame excuses"

I became speechless and annoyed enough to tell him "Well, that's human nature, they don't share good stuff!" and he ends it with "Okay, fine! Bye-bye!"
