I managed to snap a few photos of the award-winning ChangZhou acrobatic troupe performance during lunch time... excellent contortion act, balancing act and gravity-defying stunts!
P/S: Sorry for the blurry pics, I stand quite far away from the stage as the performance draws a huge crowd so I have to zoom to maximum to avoid the heads :p
11 days to CNY and Midvalley just started setting up decorations a few days ago and it's still partially done! I'll wait till it's fully done before I start snapping photos...
Here's the sneak preview...
It was rather simple compared to those in KLCC or 1 Utama.
Recently I noticed my colleague, Vincent, is quite obssess with a 'super slow motion' toy or it's a 'stress toy' according to him. He's willing to pay RM89.90 for a piece of plastic and he's collecting these cute little buggers. Basically it is like a smiley with a body and it has a sweet smile that melts your heart. Powered by a small solar panel, some nods its head, other sits down and sway its head from side to side and there's one that sways the head and hip from side to side.
I've tried looking at it for one whole minute and I feel like slapping it so that it'll move faster! D'oh! I must be feeling too stressed from my work...
Out of curiousity, I go and look for it at the mall and found that it's called Fengshui Nonohon. Different color will bring different luck (yellow for fortune, blue for work, green for health and pink for love or relationship) and there's an instruction sheet on where to position it.
There are Winnie the Pooh, Hello Kitty, Doraemon and Pikachu Nonohon too!
Mimaland was once a popular recreation park situated in Gombak but it was closed in 1993 due to serious landslide. The natural environment with plenty of trees and plants and a lake attracts families for weekend activities--picnic, fishing, boating, jungle trekking, cycling and etc. I long for those nostalgic Mimaland days, probably the sweetest childhood memories that one could have-- the country's first water-slides, biggest swimming pool and replicas of dinosaurs!
Many people hope that one day it will be renovated and reopened. However, it's sad to find out that the landowner has no plan to revive it and the land has been left idle for 15 years! Reading a newspaper article about it this morning makes me feel sad and disappointed. It is now a sorry sight and certainly regrettable that such a beautiful park should be left in such a dismal and dreadful condition.
Those sleepless nights are gone! Thanks to the Japanese, they invented the boyfriend arm pillow, which has a heartbeat and is soft and snugly. Then there's a girlfriend lap pillow that comes with realistic-to-the-touch legs and a tight short polyester skirt in your choice of black or red.
Now they have the Zaky infant pillow to help calm your baby and help your baby sleep better through the night. How lovely. Finally, mothers too can have a good night sleep.
USB ports come standard on PCs and notebooks nowadays. Besides plugging in your mouse, digital camera, webcam or USB flash drive, we can plug in some cool USB gadgets too! For example a USB-powered fan.
USB Ducky Fan from USB Geek
Isn't that cute? The leaves of the tree serve as the fan blades, while the duck actually serves as an on-off switch. You can also adjust the position of the fan, by twisting the trunk – sort of like a palm tree swaying in the, er, breeze.
Are you bored with the standard USB flash drives? Today, it does not only serve the purpose as a storage device but it's a part of fashion too!
Philips and Swarovski have jointly designed and developed The Active Crystals collection, a range of designer flash drives and earphones that are sure to set pulses racing.
Heart Beat is a two-piece heart-shaped locket drive, and the cool retractable padlock-shaped one is called Lock Out. The Active Crystals combine unique elements of functionality and fashion: truly jewels with a soul. They both hold 1GB of files, and will retail for $179.
It was a few years back when I first watch her performance on the TV. I was really amazed by her arms and body movement. She controls her muscle isolation so well and yet look so elegant and graceful. I've been searching for her video clips for quite sometime and finally, I found it!
Yang LiPing became well-known overnight for her individual dance "Spirit of Peacock" in a national contest and ever since, she has been dubbed "Princess of Peacock." She's now in her late forties and still performs her Peacock Dance to adoring audiences.
The peacock is the totem worshiped by the Dai people. Based on the Dai's folk dance imitating the peacock, Yang's peacock dance highlights the vitality and elegance of the noble creature.
Photo of my puppy cleaning up the peanut butter jar. Keep him busy for hours, trying to open the lid and chasing it around. It is fun to watch!
Dogs love peanut butter, but if they have weight problem don't give them very much of it. Give it to them as an occasional treat and just be sure to have plenty of fresh water down for them as peanut butter makes them thirsty.
P/S: I've created a mini me look-alike stamp so that I can stamp it on all my photos.
After all hardwork, finally we met year 2007 target... Hooray! Lisa insists that we have to celebrate it but all of us were still full after lunch so Li Lian suggests that we buy some snack and bring it home.
A 93-year-old man living in a small village in China, has a horn growing on his head. Ma was combing his hair one day and carelessly injured his scalp. Little did he expect that a thick, hard substance started to grow on his head, forming a horn of about 4 inches long half a year later. (Full news, 2007-11-13)

I was checking out Amilia's blog when suddenly the page was automatically redirected to a scam-like or crappy virus site. I was horrified!!! That really makes me think that my PC is attack by a deadly virus/spyware...
Out of curiousity, I went on their site to check out what's happening and to my surprise, their domain name has expired on 3rd January 2008. Click here to find out more.
So some if not all blogs with Advertlets.com advertisement code will be redirected to adbaaz.com OMG!!! I have to quickly remove Advertlets.com codes from my blog to prevent my blog visitors from unnecessary heart attack.
2007 Christmas was great! Holiday mood fills the air... although it was raining cats and dogs out there, it doesn't stop us from celebrating this long-waited festive season.
On Christmas eve, the DP deparment held a mini party, with great food contributed by the few different departments on the 9th floor -- home made pastas, roast chicken, fried rice, cheesecakes, muffins, desserts, etc.
Not to be forgotten, we exchanged gift too. Each of us bought a gift within a certain price range, wrapped it up nicely and submit to Jeanna a few days before the 24th-- I bought a Christmas mug together with a plush toy. All gifts were numbered and given a color then each of us will get the chance to pick one.
We have early release on the 24th, one and half hour earlier than normal working hours. However, I took two hours to get home-- as usual, train delayed, traffic jam and flooded roads.
I snapped some pictures of my gifts, as memory before I happily unwrapped them just like a kid.
Some of the gifts that I received... how lucky I am :p
Here is the gift from that "lucky draw" Ta-da!!! Yummy Cadburry Bytes...
