A short conversation between Li Lian & I

Li Lian: What's your favourite drink at mamak stall?
KH: Limau Ais and/or Teh Tarik
Li Lian: Next time you should order limau ais kosong
KH: Huh? What if I have gastric? It's too acidic...
Li Lian: No, limau is not acidic, it's an alkaline food
KH: Citrus fruit is highly acidic... it's sour!
Li Lian: It's alkaline, it's written in the book that I've mentioned to you...

So the conclusion is...

Citrus fruits have an acid pH before they are consumed but they usually leave an alkaline residue in the body after they have been metabolized.
