As someone who depends on public transport to travel within the Klang Valley, I have often been left frustrated by the inefficiency of the system--never arrive on time or even cancelled and coaches are packed during peak hours.
Why would anyone think of driving if there's a better way? It’s pointless taking public transport if you are burdened with long delays...
From a different point of view, taking public transport have "benefits" too! It helps a person develop his/her patience to an ultimate stage as you'll need to wait for a "standard" 15-45 minutes (I've waited for more than two and a half hours, seriously!). When it finally arrives, you'll get to see a grand view of "doorguards" blocking the entrance and they're so cool; they just don't care! If you're "lucky" enough someone will help you in by pushing you from behind. You can have fun joining and being a human 'sardine' on board-- it improves balacing skills, especially when you have nothing to hold on to when the train moves or stops. Of course, you can enjoy free "sauna" service when the air-conditioning is not working.
Very often, you will hear people shouting "Excuse me/Sorry/Full-house, next train please!!!". Today, I heard something new... a "pakcik" shouted "Orang belum keluar, you all sudah masuk... macam mana nak keluar ni? Terbang keluar ke?"
